Massage parlor owners charged with running brothels

ROCKVILLE, Md – The owners of four Rockville massage parlors have been charged with running brothels, and used their businesses as illegal fronts for human trafficking operations.

Montgomery County police began investigating several massage parlors in September after noticing an increase of acupressure and massage parlor advertisements in the adult sections of websites that cater to adults services, and after receiving several complaints from the public about these businesses.

Police say the owners/operators of these parlors have been exploiting the most vulnerable women as tools for profit.

Search warrants were executed a six Rockville area businesses, and the owners of four have been charged with conducting prostitution and human trafficking.
