3 charged after Dec. deadly shooting in Reston

RESTON, Va. – UPDATE: Fairfax County police have charged three men in relation to a deadly December shooting in Reston — but all three are believed to have fled the country.

Colvin Morris, 34, of 7967 Richmond Highway, was killed in the shooting. Police say Jose Santos Ponce Zuniga, 31, has been charged with murder. Amilcar Noel Urbina Zelaya, 29, and Saul Pacheco Mejia, 45 were both charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Police say all three are thought to have left the U.S.

PREVIOUS STORY: One man has been killed after being shot in the head outside a Reston apartment complex.

Fairfax County Police say a man was shot Dec. 12 at about 4:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of Cameron Crescent Drive.

Police found the man alive in the parking lot of the complex. He later died at a nearby hospital.

Police are searching from three suspects who left the scene in a pickup truck.

All four people were inside an apartment in the area at one point, but police say the shooting happened outside.

Police are investigating the relationship between the suspects and the man killed.
