WASHINGTON — The University of Maryland’s Police Department is warning students through its alert system Saturday about an armed off-campus robbery early Saturday morning when five students were robbed at knife point.
Police say the incident occurred around 3:55 a.m. at an apartment building on Knox Road, between Rossburg Drive and Sterling Place. They responded to a report of a robbery involving three males, one armed with a knife and another with a BB gun, who forced entry into an apartment and demanded property from five university students there.
One resident sustained a minor, non-life-threatening injury to his hand. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The Prince George’s County Police Department is conducting the investigation. Individuals with any information regarding this incident or the possible identity of suspects are encouraged to contact police (911 or 301-772-4908).
