Wealthiest ZIP codes in Maryland, Virginia and D.C.

WASHINGTON — Credit reporting service Experian has just released a comprehensive map detailing where the richest of the rich live in each state.

Across North America, the Experian map shows the three wealthiest areas in each state by ZIP code, including how many tax returns were filed from that area and how much the average income is.

So where are those infamous 1 percenters from our region residing? Take a look:

As The Washington Post points out, some ZIP codes only have a few buildings in them, and not necessarily any residences — 20510, for example, includes the Senate office buildings.
