Leesburg man critical after shot during altercation

WASHINGTON — A Leesburg man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times Friday night during an altercation, according to police.

Leesburg Police say they were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Rhonda Place SE for a report of a shooting. A  21-year-old Leesburg man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso area. He was  transported by helicopter to the INOVA Fairfax Hospital where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.

The suspect involved in the shooting was still on scene.  Jacob Timothy Kinsey, 29, of Leesburg, Va., was later charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding and the Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He was ordered held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
