Police search for van in connection with fatal D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for a vehicle that may be tied to a fatal shooting in D.C. Tuesday.

Police are searching for a blue Honda Odyssey and its occupants who may be involved with a fatal shooting outside St. Luke Roman Catholic Church along East Capitol Street in Southeast at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Amari Jenkins, 21, was shot multiple times and died as a result of his injuries.

The incident was one of three fatal shootings Tuesday.

A woman and two boys were shot in an apartment building in Southeast following a confrontation between the two boys. The woman, 31-year-old Tenika Fontanelle died of her injuries.

Also, another shooting occurred near the 2700 block of 17th Street. Police arrived to find the body of a man who had been shot. The victim has been identified as William Conley, 24.
