Cockpit video shows emergency landing of WWII aircraft over D.C.

WASHINGTON — A World War II-era TBM Avenger was forced to make an emergency landing at Reagan National Airport during the 70th Anniversary of VE Day flyover on May 8.

The plane encountered mechanical trouble during the formations, which were supposed to represent the war’s major air battles. The cockpit video of the pilot Josh Wilson’s expert landing under pressure was released on You Tube this week:
