Michelle Murillo has been a part of the WTOP family since 2014.

She started her career in Central Florida, where for years she worked at the competing station to her brother, Mike Murillo.

Eventually, they both headed north to work together at radio stations in New York City and Philadelphia, before eventually landing in the nation’s capitol.

In addition to her radio career, Michelle is a old-timey Big Band and Broadway singer who says she was born a century too late for her musical tastes. She’s a living historian, quite often seen at museums and other events up and down the East Coast giving presentations on the late 1600s and early 1700s. She is also the mother of a very spoiled southern flying squirrel rescue named Amelia.
