Police chief: D.C. hit by wave of violence

D.C. officials announced at a news conference Thursday that three arrests have been made in the case of a July 4 shootout in D.C. that left one man dead. Still, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Cathy Lanier say they are confronting a spike in violent crime that could be attributed in part to synthetic drugs.
