Ahead of wintry forecast, crews working to avoid 'travel nightmare'

With cold pavement, a long holiday weekend and an expected icy winter storm, Monday morning could become a travel nightmare. A large swath of light-to-moderate snow will move in late Sunday evening, accumulating a few inches before the morning rush. But by Tuesday, warmer air will move in and change the snow over to sleet and freezing rain, leading to a light ice accumulation.
