NC A&T tops Florida A&M 40-21

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Kwashaun Quick threw three touchdown passes to Denzel Keyes and North Carolina A&T topped Florida A&M 40-21 on Saturday.

The Aggies (7-2, 4-1 Mid Eastern Athletic Conference) fell behind by a touchdown early, as Florida A&M (2-6, 2-2) went 75 yards on 11 plays capped by a Damien Fleming touchdown pass to Lemond Buice.

But NC A&T used a 3-yard lob by Quick to Keyes and a 1-yard plunge by Marquell Cartwright to take a 20-14 lead at the half.

It was all Aggies after that.

Quick hit Keyes on a 73-yard catch-and-run to break open the game in the third at 27-14, then the pair hooked up again from 21 yards after Tony McRae’s interception and 43-yard return. Tarik Cohen added a 3-yard scamper to seal the win early in the fourth.

Keyes finished with five catches for 129 yards while Quick was 16 of 26 for 233 yards.
