Youngstown State beats St. Francis (Pa) 52-23

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Dante Nania threw three touchdowns to lead Youngstown State to a 52-23 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday night.

Nania was 11 of 22 and 180 yards for the Penguins (3-1). His favorite targets were Andrew Williams, Jody Webb and Demond Hymes who each had a receiving touchdown. Webb also had a rushing TD. Martin Ruiz scored two rushing touchdowns and had 82 yards on 12 carries.

The Penguins had a 28-16 lead at the break and exploded in the second half, scoring 24 unanswered points on two Nania touchdown passes, a Hymes TD run, and a 25-yard field goal by Joey Cejudo.

Khairi Dickson led the Red Flash (1-3) with 151 yards on 29 carries. Dickson added a 10-yard touchdown run to close out the scoring with just over 5 minutes to play.

Zach Drayer threw 11 of 21 for 139 yards and a touchdown.
