Package not a threat, Frederick Community College reopened

WASHINGTON – A suspicious package lead to the evacuation of a Maryland community college Thursday night – but it turned out to not be a threat.

Around 8 p.m. the suspicious package was found in the Cougar Grill area of Frederick Community College. The school isn’t aware of any previous threats but the decision was made to evacuate campus while police investigated.

As of 11 p.m. Thursday the campus was reopened.
