WASHINGTON — Ramen isn’t just a cheap meal for college students anymore.
Some countries are getting creative.
Last year, a fast food joint in Japan called Lotteria released the ramen
burger in conjunction with a restaurant specializing in the noodle. In the
case of this burger, the noodles substituted the patty while the outside was a
traditional bun.
In New York City, Ramen Burger substitutes noodles for
buns, reports the Wall Street Journal.
But for a savory treat, Kotako reports there are ramen doughnuts for
sale at Osaka Ohsho in Japan. It takes fried bread and stuggs it with ramen
noodles and sauce. The doughnuts also have a glaze.
