Metro: 4 lines to be affected by weekend work

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says the orange, blue, red and green lines will be affected by weekend work.

Metro says starting Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through system closing on Sunday, orange and blue line trains will operate every 24 minutes. On the red line, trains will operate every 22 minutes, with additional trains between Grosvenor and NoMa-Gallaudet from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

And on Sunday, buses will replace trains on the green line between Southern Avenue and Branch Avenue stations. The Naylor Road, Suitland and Branch Avenue stations will be closed.

Metro says the silver and yellow lines will run on a regular weekend schedule.
