Indianapolis airport welcomes 2 art exhibitions

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Two art exhibitions featuring the work of local artists have been put on display at the Indianapolis International Airport.

Indianapolis-based artists LaShawnda Crowe Storm and Dee Schaad use historic and literary themes to examine contemporary life in their artwork.

Crowe Storm is a mixed media artist who also doubles as an activist and community builder. She received a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan and a master of fine arts from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Schaad is a sculptor, writer and recently-retired ceramics teacher. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelor of arts and a master of education in studio art, as well as a master of fine arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

The exhibitions will be on display at the airport until Nov. 16.
