BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Hulu is now the exclusive streaming home for the full run of Comedy Central’s bad-boy animated series, “South Park” — all 244-and-counting episodes.

New episodes will continue to also appear on Comedy Central’s website as well as the website of South Park Studios.

The announcement was made Saturday at the summer TV critics’ tour, where the “South Park” creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, made an unbilled appearance.

They didn’t stay long.

“Tomorrow we have to start another new episode,” said Stone.

The pair, who introduced “South Park” to an unsuspecting Comedy Central audience in 1997, have since built an empire that includes films, a video game and their record-breaking Broadway musical, “The Book of Mormon.”

Asked why they have stuck with the punishing “South Park” grind this long, Parker explained that the show for them “is sort of the band. We go into the studio once a year and make an album, and each episode is a song. We still write and direct each episode ourselves, and that’s the nuts-and-bolts of everything.

“It would be pretty jarring to live without it.”
