A local restaurateur with big expansion plans has picked out a local spot for a new corporate office.

Francis Namin, the man behind favorites such as Food, Wine & Co. (7272 Wisconsin Ave.), Don Pollo of Bethesda (7007 Wisconsin Ave.) and City Burger (7015 Wisconsin Ave.), said his newly titled What’s Cooking Restaurant Group has leased a space in the 6900 Wisconsin office building above the U.S. Post Office.

The 900-square-foot office will serve as headquarters for the company, which recently hired Sam Henderson — former director of culinary operations for Aramark — to take over as executive chef.

Namin said a new Don Pollo location in Gaithersburg is under construction. The group also has plans to open a City Burger in Rockville and Fish Taco in Arlington. It opened the first Fish Taco last year in Glen Echo.

Henderson took over for chef Michael Harr, who set the menu at Food, Wine & Co. and helped Namin spearhead the Fish Taco and City Burger openings.
