Police looking for man who exposed himself at Rockville car wash

Photo via MCPMontgomery County Police are hoping to identify a man they say exposed and touched himself in front of a woman at a Rockville car wash.

Police said that at about 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 4, they got a call for an indecent exposure at the Flagship Carwash at 2100 Chapman Avenue, just north of the Montrose Crossing Shopping Center.

Police said the man walked up to a 41-year-old woman, exposed himself and began inappropriately touching himself. He fled before officers got to the scene.

Police described the man, scene in this screenshot taken from a nearby surveillance camera, as a “medium-skinned black male,” about 5- foot-7 and 165 pounds with short black hair and a mustache. He was seen wearing dark blue basketball shorts and a purple shirt.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man or who has further information to contact the 1st District Investigative Section at 240- 773-6084. Callers can remain anonymous.

Police on Friday also released information on another indecent exposure case that happened Aug. 28 aboard a Ride On bus near the Shady Grove Metro station.
