The new owner of the Westwood Shopping Center in the Westbard section of Bethesda will hold a food truck rally, sidewalk sale and school supply drive on Saturday.
Equity One, which completed the purchase of the shopping center earlier this year, will host food trucks including GoFish!, Linda’s Luncheonette, Holy Crepes!, CapMac and Carmen’s Italian Ice from noon to 6 p.m. during the event (5400 Westbard Ave.).
There will also be a DJ and chance to win a shopping spree at Westwood stores for those who donate school supplies.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, the Planning Department will begin the public input portion of the Plan Westbard process. Equity One hopes to redevelop the Westwood shopping center and many surrounding properties into a mixed-use community using Westbard Avenue as a main street.
