Bethesda Woman Arrested For Heroin Use, Spitting At Officers – Police in Anne Arundel County said Dana S. Heaton, 43, of 3 Pooks Hill Rd., was arrested last week after spitting in the face of three officers and resisting arrest. Police said they found Heaton using heroin in her vehicle, parked in a Target parking lot in Glen Burnie. Police also said they found 11 heroin capsules in the vehicle. [Anne Arundel County Police]

After Silver Line, Is It Time For Another Potomac River Crossing? – Washington Post columnist and Bethesda native Robert McCartney says the opening of the Silver Line this weekend in Northern Virginia shows there are still ways to complete major transportation and transit projects. McCartney suggests a second Potomac River crossing, or widening of the existing American Legion Bridge, should be next on the region’s transportation agenda. [Washington Post]
