It won’t be too long until Woodmont Avenue is reopened.

County officials are looking at late-August for the rebuilt road to be ready to go. Construction on the two residential buildings part of the Lot 31 project continues on both sides of the route.

It will have been almost two years since construction on an underground county parking garage started, forcing Montgomery County to close off the street at Bethesda Avenue.

In the meantime, developer Stonebridge Carras has announced a number of retailers destined for the site and mapped out exactly where those new stores and restaurants will go when the project is completed.

The underground garage will have 940 parking spaces. The Darcy building — to the east of Woodmont Avenue — will have 64 condo units while the The Flats building will include 186 apartments.
