The Bethesda Farm Women’s Market has a new-look website with a focus on local businesses.
It’s also asking customers what changes they’d like to see at the market in a survey.
The market opened in 1932 and has remained virtually unchanged at 7155 Wisconsin Ave. It’s a registered historic landmark that harkens back to a time when downtown Bethesda wasn’t quite downtown Bethesda. (Read the full history here.)
The co-op that runs the market is looking to improve its mix of vendors and making a clear push to appeal to shoppers and lunchtime diners in the area. In March, it published the above video promoting the local, homemade flavor of the market.
The website also features a nod to other locally owned restaurants around town, with a list of places where “neighbors run into neighbors.”
The Market is open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
