Planning Board Defers Action On Platt Ridge Drive Extension – A proposal to extend a Chevy Chase road across Jones Bridge Road and through a local park will have to wait at least a few months. The Planning Board last week asked for more information from an arborist before making a determination on the Montgomery County Department of Transportation’s forest conservation plan for the road. Planning Department staff had previously recommended against building the road because it would mean the loss of too many trees for an uncertain traffic benefit. [The Gazette]
