A TD Bank branch is coming to the spot of a deserted gas station in downtown Bethesda.
A county permit has been issued for construction of a 2,549-square-foot bank building at 8101 Wisconsin Ave., on the northbound side of the road toward the northern edge of the Bethesda Central Business District.
The site was home to a BP Station and is another example of the vanishing gas stations of Bethesda.
This TD Bank branch is not to be confused with the one proposed for the existing Shell Station at 7628 Old Georgetown Rd. That plan is in the planning review process.
The value of the construction is $1.2 million, according to a county permit added last Thursday.
