Feds Say Purple Line Won’t Hurt Shrimp, Chevy Chase Residents Prepare To Sue — The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has found that the Purple Line won’t harm an endangered shrimp-like creature in Rock Creek. A group led by Chevy Chase environmental John Fitzgerald says it’s about to sue the federal government for failing to take in to account the cumulative effect of Purple Line-related development in Chevy Chase Lake and downtown Bethesda. Building Industry Advocates Wary Of Sustainability Package — Some representatives of builders and building management companies say the County Council should consider all options while looking at Councilmember Roger Berliner’s recent package of 13 sustainability bills.
