Police Investigate Armed Robbery At Cabin John CVS

Montgomery County police carMontgomery County Police say the two suspects who tried to rob the CVS in Cabin John Shopping Center on Wednesday morning could be the same men who tried to rob a Rockville bank on Tuesday.

Police said the two suspects came into the CVS at 7955 Tuckerman Lane at about 3:51 a.m. One displayed a handgun as they demanded money from a CVS employee. But the suspects ran from the store without getting any money, police said.

After the suspects ran out of the store, police said the employee followed. Police said the suspect with the gun then fired one shot. No one was struck.

Police say detectives are considering the possibility the suspects were the same men who tried to rob the Wells Fargo bank in Congressional Plaza on Tuesday morning. The suspects in that incident didn’t obtain any money. One suspect shot at the ceiling of the bank.

The suspect with the handgun is described as a black man in his twenties with a black baseball cap with white insignia, black-hooded sweatshirt with a gray logo, camouflage pants, black tennis shoes and fake beard.

The other suspect is described as a black male, also in his twenties, wearing a black ski mask.
