Lockheed To Furlough Fewer Than Announced — The Bethesda-based defense company will actually furlough about 2,400 employees, not the 3,000 announced last week. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel recalled most of its civilian workers over the weekend. [Washington Post]

Council Town Hall Meeting For Students — The County Council on Wednesday will hold a Town Hall Meeting for Students at 7 p.m. at the Council Office Building in Rockville. A pre-meeting reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. The meeting is open to high school and middle school students from public and private schools and is meant to let students tell councilmembers how they feel about a variety of issues.
