Police seek missing Silver Spring girl

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for a missing Silver Spring 17-year-old and asking for the public’s help.

The Montgomery County police say that Ashley Washington, of Lanier Drive, hasn’t been seen or heard from since Sept. 27.

She’s described as black; about 5 feet, 10 inches tall; 135 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a white hoodie with purple lettering and pajamas with white stars.

The police say she’s known to frequent downtown Silver Spring, the Benning Road neighborhood of Northeast Washington and the Anacostia area of Southeast.

The police ask anyone with information about her to call 240-773-5400 or 301-279-8000. Callers can remain anonymous.
