Smashburger To Open Sept. 25, Roof Sometime In October

Denver-based hamburger chain Smashburger will open its Woodmont Triangle location on Sept. 25, according to a company spokesperson, but the much anticipated Roof bar and restaurant will be about a month behind.

Christine Ferris, spokesperson for Smashburger, said the chain is planning a friends and family dinner to test out new employees on Sept. 23, followed by a media day preview and VIP event on Sept. 24 and then the grand opening the next day.

The company’s burgers, chicken sandwiches, shakes and other offerings will be available in a 2,100-square-foot space in the new building still under construction at 4901 Cordell Ave.

Roof, the new one from Tommy Joe’s owner Alan Pohoryles, will open on the second and third (rooftop) floors of the building hopefully by mid- or late-October, Pohoryles said.

A Dunkin’ Donuts is also going into the ground floor of the building.
