Weekly Crime Report: July 1 to July 9

Police earlier this month arrested an 18-year-old from Bethesda and charged him with a burglary of a home near Old Georgetown Road:

A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Julliard Drive in Bethesda on Wednesday, 7/3 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary occurred in the 4900 block of St Elmo Avenue in Bethesda sometime between Wednesday, 7/3 and Thursday, 7/4. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Avondale Street in Bethesda on Monday, 7/1 at approximately 7:30 a.m. No forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10700 block of Shaftsbury Street in Kensington on Wednesday, 7/3 at 6:00 a.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4600 block of Saul Road in Kensington, sometime between Tuesday, 7/2 and Sunday, 7/7. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4000 block of Glenridge Street in Kensington sometime between Tuesday, 7/2 and Monday, 7/8. Forced entry; unknown what was taken.

A sex assault at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel located at 5520 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda on Saturday, 7/6 between 4:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5300 block of Westpath Way in Bethesda sometime around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 7/6. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Burning Tree Court in Bethesda overnight from Saturday, 7/6 to Sunday, 7/7. Forced entry; property taken.
