Baltimore man arrested in romantic rival’s death

BALTIMORE (AP) — A Baltimore man has been arrested in the stabbing death of a romantic rival.

Baltimore police said Monday that they arrested 46-year-old Michael Warren Hamilton and charged him with murder on Saturday. He is being jailed without bail, and no attorney has yet been listed for him in court records.

Hamilton is charged in the stabbing death of 49-year-old Kevin Maurice Jowers of Baltimore.

Police say Hamilton’s girlfriend had dated Jowers in the past and was still in love with him. They say the woman had been spending more and more time with Jowers and that her relationship with Hamilton was disintegrating.

Jowers was killed Thursday shortly after he was seen drinking and talking with Hamilton’s girlfriend outside a bar. Jowers had stab wounds to his neck, shoulder and back.
