Md. teen injured after falling from moving car

SEVERNA PARK, Md. (AP) — A teenager was critically injured after falling from a moving vehicle and hitting his head.

The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/1uOisNj ) that a 17-year-old Chick-fil-A employee suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday night when he fell from a moving Jeep outside the fast food restaurant in Severna Park.

Police say another employee was backing out his Jeep in the Ritchie Highway parking lot when the teen jumped onto the vehicle. Authorities say the teen was holding onto the car while the other employee drove around the parking lot and fell off, hitting his head.

The teen was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Police say they believe the teen had been hanging onto the car for about 30 seconds before falling and that the driver had not been driving fast.
