1 killed, 2 hurt when car hits tree in Maryland

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) — Anne Arundel County Police say one man was killed and two others were hurt when the car they were in left the road and hit a tree in Glen Burnie.

It happened about 9:30 p.m. on Arundel Expressway just before Interstate 695. Officers say a car driven by 22-year-old Joseph Brandon Orange of Pasadena was speeding when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a tree.

Orange was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. His two passengers, 20-year-old Justin Scott Conley and 21-year-old Zachary Leonardi Payne, both of Pasadena, were also taken to Shock Trauma.
