Crafts emporium to open June 9 at Bethesda Row

Make Meaning, opening on June 9 on  Bethesda RowMake Meaning, the long awaited crafts emporium, will open on Monday, June 9 on Bethesda Row.

The 5,000-square-foot upstairs space at 4809 Bethesda Ave. will be the company’s sixth location and feature “The Skinny Dip,” described in a press release as a flowing wax-cooling river of water for those crafting candles at the store.

There will also be a cake and cookie decorating area with a rotating booth for edible spraying, a self explanatory glitter tattoo parlor and private party rooms for birthday parties, bridal events, baby showers and corporate events.

Activities at Make Meaning will include soap-making, ceramic painting and glassware design.

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week and on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

The New York City shop announced it was coming to Bethesda Avenue in fall 2012. It had hoped to open in March 2013.
