WASHINGTON – Shots were fired after a driver crashed his car in Prince George’s County Sunday night.

The Prince George’s County Police Department tella WTOP the crashed happened around 7:20 p.m. on Branch Avenue near the Beltway.

After flipping onto its side, police say the driver fired shots through the front windshield. The cause of the crash and why the driver fired shots are under investigation.

The driver suffered no injuries and was arrested by Prince George’s County Police.
