D.C. police investigate triple shooting

WASHINGTON — One person is dead after a triple shooting in D.C. early Monday, according to a Metropolitan Police Department news release.

Jabari Fields, 29, of Landover, Maryland, was killed and two other men were shot and taken to the hospital.

The shooting on the 5300 block of 8th Street NW occurred shortly before 3 a.m., the statement says.

No arrests have been made. Police are looking for a single suspect, the Associated Press reports.
