RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A nonprofit group says it has raised $6 million for a proposed children’s hospital that would serve the Richmond region.
The Virginia Children’s Hospital Alliance also says it has signed an agreement with Bon Secours Virginia Health System, Virginia Commonwealth University and the VCU Health System to move forward with negotiations.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1tqIOoV ) reports that the nonprofit’s CEO, Katherine E. Busser, discussed the project Monday at a reception hosted by philanthropists Bill and Alice Goodwin. The couple has pledged up to $150 million for the project.
Busser says a location for the proposed hospital hasn’t been chosen.
