Hundreds of people gathered in Meridian Hill Park, also known as Malcolm X Park, to protest last weekend\'s shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager, in Ferguson, Missouri.
That was one of several chants that rang through Meridian Hill Park, also known as Malcolm X Park, on Thursday night as hundreds of people gathered to protest last weekend’s shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager, in Ferguson, Missouri, as well as the police response to the protests that ensued there.
People carried signs with slogans including “Film the Police” and “Black Lives Matter.”
Many said they knew someone who died at the hands of the police, and in the case of Brown, “It just keeps happening,” one man said.
“Everyone’s angry, but you can channel that anger into something positive,” one woman said.
