Maryland lacrosse player not guilty of assault at concert

WASHINGTON — A University of Maryland lacrosse player accused of assaulting a woman during a Zac Brown Band concert at Jiffy Lube Live has been found not guilty.

NBC4 reports that 19-year-old Benjamin Chisolm was acquitted Thursday of charges of assault and battery, after having been initially charged with aggravated sexual battery.

Chisolm was arrested after a 49-year-old woman from Colonial Beach, Virginia, told police she’d been sexually assaulted after falling asleep on the lawn area. She says she awoke to find a stranger inappropriately touching her.
