Bicyclist struck by car in Md. home from hospital

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — It took almost three weeks, but a woman who was struck by a car while riding a bike in Anne Arundel County with her boyfriend is now home from the hospital.

The Capital of Annapolis (http://bit.ly/1zTw9Lx ) reports 23- year-old Katie Pohler of Glen Burnie went home Thursday. The newspaper says Pohler still has a cast on her right hand, left arm and left leg. She’s also wearing a neck brace and may need more surgery as she heals.

Pohler and her boyfriend Todd Green were flown to the hospital by helicopter after the June 28 crash on Governor Ritchie Highway in Annapolis. Green was released later that day.

Police said at the time that the driver of a Nissan failed to drive in a single lane and hit the couple.
