4 shot in 2 incidents in D.C. Sunday night

WASHINGTON — Four people were shot in two incidents on the District Sunday night.

Three people were shot near the Harry Thomas Sr. Recreation Center on Lincoln Road in Northeast at around 9 p.m. They were all conscious and breathing when they were taken to a hospital, the D.C. police said.

And at about 10:30, one person was shot on 6th Street in Southeast, just north of Mississippi Avenue. Police had no information on the victim’s condition.

The police say they don’t think the two Sunday shootings are related; however, the Lincoln Road shooting happened blocks from a triple shooting that left one person dead on North Capitol and T streets early Sunday. A suspect was arrested in that shooting.
