D.C. Councilmember Tommy Wells, D-Ward 6, will formally launch his mayoral campaign on Saturday with a rally in Northeast Washington, The Washington Post reported.
Wells is likely to become the second candidate in the race, following fellow Democrat and council member Muriel Bowser.
Incumbent Vincent Gray, D, has not announced whether he will seek a second term.
