Metro Blue, Orange lines delayed after man struck

WASHINGTON – Metro says Blue and Orange trains are being delayed after a man was struck by a train in Rosslyn.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says the accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment but his injuries were not considered life-threatening. The Metro spokesman says the train’s operator saw the man on the tracks and was able to apply the train’s emergency brakes. Stessel says the man walked in front of the train.

The transit agency says Blue Line trains are being single-tracked between Arlington Cemetery and Foggy Bottom and Orange Line trains are single-tracking between Clarendon and Foggy Bottom.
