Hundreds of slot machines headed to Maryland Live! Casino

WASHINGTON – The fun is about to begin at Arundel Mills Malls, where Maryland Live! Casino is set to open in less than three months.

Sixteen hundred bright, new, shiny slot machines are ready to be installed this wednesday at the Hanover casino. At the moment, the slots are under wraps at a secret spot and visitors need state permission to get near them.

Power Inc., the company preparing the slot machines, previously worked on machines for Hollywood casino in Perryville as well as slots for Ocean Downs near Ocean City.

There will be a total of 4,750 slot machines lighting up the casino when it opens later this year. Players will be able to choose from penny slots to a hundred bucks a bet.

Casino officials project the facility will provide $400 million annually in state revenue.
