Help needed identifying man in attempted sexual assault

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a man described as a person of interest in an attempted sexual assault that happened a month ago in Northwest.

The Metropolitan Police Department released this video, hoping that someone will identify the man:

Police say the attempted first-degree sexual assault took place at 2:43 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16 in the 3200 block of 16th Street, NW.

Police say the man is Hispanic, in his late 20s or early 30s and about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6. He’s clean shaven man with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
