Dion Jordan set to make 2014 debut for Dolphins

MIAMI (AP) — Defensive end Dion Jordan is set to make his season debut Sunday for the Miami Dolphins after sitting out the first six games without pay for twice violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

The Dolphins announced the lifting of Jordan’s roster exemption Saturday and waived receiver Damian Williams. Jordan returned to practice Tuesday, but the Dolphins had declined to say whether he would be activated for Sunday’s game at Jacksonville.

Jordan was the third overall pick in the 2013 draft and played in all 16 games as a reserve in his rookie season.
