K Forbath active for Redskins despite sore groin

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Washington Redskins kicker Kai Forbath is active against the Jacksonville Jaguars after battling a sore right groin.

Forbath was limited in practice leading up to the game, forcing the Redskins to consider contingency plans to sign another kicker, but he is able to suit up Sunday.

As expected, tight end Jordan Reed and cornerback Tracy Porter are inactive with hamstring injuries, and defensive end Kedric Golston is out with a groin injury.

Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III is inactive for the second straight week with a hamstring problem. Safety Johnathan Cyprien previously was ruled out with a concussion.

Jacksonville cornerback Alan Ball is active despite an abdominal strain that had him listed as questionable.
