Vince Gill appointed to Predators Foundation board

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Country singer Vince Gill and Kristen Laviolette have been appointed to positions on the Nashville Predators Foundation’s board of directors.

Gill, a County Music Hall of Famer, is a longtime Predators season-ticket holder. Laviolette is the wife of new Predators coach Peter Laviolette. Their appointment was announced Thursday through a team release.

The release also said Gill would join the Predators broadcast team for a select number of games this season.

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Ford Ice Center last month, Predators CEO Jeff Cogen announced a partnership between Gill and the Predators that would work to provide scholarship opportunities for children to participate in hockey and skating programs at the new facility.

The Nashville Predators Foundation is a charity offering resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations.
