HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Eastern Mennonite University has set another fall enrollment record.
The private university in Harrisonburg, Virginia, enrolled 1,870 students for the fall semester. The previous record was 1,789 students enrolled for the fall 2013 semester.
Eastern Mennonite vice president Luke Hartman tells The Daily News-Record (http://bit.ly/1rd00X6 ) that undergraduate enrollment increased for the sixth consecutive year.
The university enrolled 953 undergraduates, a 2.2 percent increase from the fall 2013 semester.
Hartman says the university has seen an increase in the number of students from Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He attributes the increase to an expansion of the number of open houses held by the school.
